Team Inferno is India's premier Shell Eco-Marathon team, participating out of Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute Of Technology, Bangalore. Founded in the year 2011, Team Inferno aims to pioneer research that will one day revolutionize the way our cars use fuel.
About Shell Eco-Marathon
Shell Eco-marathon is a unique competition that challenges students around the world to design, build and drive the most energy-efficient car. With three annual events in Asia, Americas and Europe, student teams take to the track to see who goes further on the least amount of fuel.
Team Inferno is a part of the Shell Eco Marathon ASIA circuit. While the initial editions of the event were held in Manila, Philippines, it is now held in Singapore since 2017.

About Team Inferno
Established in the year 2011, at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute Of Technology, Team Inferno is the brainchild of seven highly motivated students of the Mechanical Engineering department of the college. The team looks to pioneer research and build cars which deliver super-mileages which eventually go on to participate at the annually held Shell Eco Marathon.
The team has been lauded several times before for its brilliant performance and perseverance in the event, and has also been featured in national televisions and papers.
The team stood 1st in INDIA and 9th in ASIA at SEM 2016.
